My Favorite Baking Brand Just Launched a First-Of-Its-Kind Pastry Kit, and I’m Already Obsessed

Last year, I came across a new-to-me dough brand, JusRol, and instantly fell in love. Whether I’m making spinach and feta pinwheels, a homemade pizza, or simply need a buttery pie crust to jumpstart dinner, the brand does not disappoint.

Recently, I spotted two new JusRol products on shelves, and needless to say, I immediately took them home.

JusRol Launches Puff Pastry Turnover Kits

JusRol has launched its first-ever Puff Pastry Turnover Kits. The kits come in two flavors—Apple and Blueberry—and feature everything you need to whip up four fruit-filled turnovers.

No need to measure and slice a sheet of puff pastry because each box includes perfectly portioned squares. In addition, JusRol’s turnover kits come with a pouch of sweet filling made with real fruit and a vanilla-flavored glaze to top off your treat.

To assemble, all you have to do is place a spoonful of filling into the center of each pastry square, fold into a triangle, press the edges with a fork, and bake until golden—it’s that easy!

My Honest Review of JusRol Puff Pastry Turnover Kits

The turnovers were incredibly easy to prepare, and the dough was a breeze to work with. My only criticism is that I wish there had been more fruit filling. There was only about one tablespoon per turnover, which seemed a little low.

Because ovens heat differently, I suggest keeping a close eye on the turnovers while baking. The box calls for 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes. I found that mine were done after 15 minutes, and likely would have burned if I left them in longer. I also recommend trimming the parchment paper down to the size of each turnover before baking.

As far as taste, the turnovers were everything I hoped for. Both filling options were delicious and struck the ideal balance of sauce and fruit chunks. My favorite was the apple because it had a pleasantly tart flavor. The dough was flaky, and the glaze was thick and smooth as though it came from a bakery.

This is a great option for anyone who craves a quick, sweet treat and for those who want to bake with kids without the stress of fully prepping a recipe. JusRol, if you’re listening, can we please get a cherry filling option next?
