with Caramelized Onions & Aged Cheddar
This is a delicious solution for Thanksgiving leftovers... but you'll want to make it year round!
1 pkg. Family Size Pizza Crust
2 lbs. turkey breast, cooked & shredded
4 yellow onions, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
10 sage leaves, sliced thin
1 can pumpkin puree (or leftover yams)
2 oz. aged cheddar
1/3 cup whole canned cranberries
STEPS
-
Preheat oven to 400°F.
-
Shred cooked turkey or purchase carved turkey from the deli counter. Alternatively, you can cook your own turkey breasts and shred.
-
Meanwhile, caramelize thinly sliced yellow onion on medium low heat with 2 Tbsp. butter. When caramelized and soft, add thinly sliced sage leaves and remove from heat.
-
Unroll refrigerated Family Size Pizza Crust on enclosed parchment paper and place on a baking sheet. Spread pumpkin puree onto dough (or use leftover yams or sweet potatoes). Top with caramelized onion and shredded turkey. Finally, top with grated aged cheddar and dollops of cranberries.
-
Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
